Student Initiated Projects

  • Developing Go Green Logo and Guide for clubs, departments and conferences
  • Promoting reusable plastic steins as an alternative to disposable cups at Happy Hour
  • Reducing paper usage in conjunction with ITG by eliminating the automatic cover page
  • Leading campaign to encourage the administration to commit to LEED Platinum status for the Manhattanville campus business school building and preparing green feature recommendations for the building
  • Creating awareness of Uris and Warren purified water machines and the reusable mug coffee discount in Uris Deli

Sustainability Consulting to CBS Departments, Students, and Clubs

  • Launching improved recycling program in common spaces and offices
  • Greening on-campus recruiting events
  • Greening CBS and local vendor procurement policies
  • Greening club events, orientation and conferences
  • Providing a 100% recycled, biodegradable business card option to students
  • Lowering energy usage via climate control, higher quality light bulbs and energy efficient computing
  • Preparing economic analysis of installing a green roof on Uris Library
